Coalition’s plan for skilled migration to be announced

scottmorrison_wideweb__470x333,0In his first address to Australian resource industry employers since the federal election date was announced, Shadow Minister for Immigration and Citizenship Scott Morrison will discuss the Coalition’s plans for skilled migration at the AMMA (Australian Mines and Metals Association) Brisbane Migration Forum on Thursday, 8 August.

Mr Morrison’s election campaign address follows the Australian Government’s sweeping and restrictive changes to the 457 Visa program, which came into effect from July 2013.

Opening addresses will also be delivered by AMMA chief executive Steve Knott and Queensland Council of Unions research and policy officer John Martin.
