MNM confirms gold extension at Stacpoole

Western Australian Premier Urged Not To Increase Gold Royalty Rates

Mantle Mining Corporation (ASX: MNM) has extended the gold mineralisation at its high-grade Morning Star and Rose of Denmark gold mines in eastern Victoria.

The current drilling program has targeted the Stacpoole zone across 15 locations, with a total of 592 meters drilled via 26 holes. It has confirmed a southern extension of the zone containing gold mineralisation towards the adit entrance.

The Stacpoole zone sits immediately below the historically rich Age of Progress zone, five metres below the Morning Star adit floor. To date 200 meters has been drilled along strike at the Stacpoole zone, representing the most accessible southern area which can be accessed either by shaft or conventional decline.

With the existing program MNM is aiming to get a more accurate indication of gold grades. Of particular interest is a zone of mineralisation between the Age of Progress and the Stacpoole zone below it. A previous finding of 13 g/t gold assay over a length of 1.4 metres showed the potential for higher grades from trial mining.
