WATCH: FIFO duo lip-sync for Valentine’s Day again

The dynamic Pilbara FIFO lip-syncing duo is back with another Valentine’s Day performance.

Jason Allen and Jamie Byers released a video last year of the pair lip-syncing to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody, to help cope with a lonely Valentine’s Day in the Pilbara. The video of the hi-vis wearing miners went viral, with more than one million views.

With another year comes another Valentine’s Day and, of course, another video to show us the softer side of our of hardworking FIFO mates.

This time, Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive was chosen for the in-car performance, which features some subtle car-seat choreography. Unfortunately, the men don’t work together anymore, and one even had a Valentine this year, but they reunited for the video.

“[We did the second video] because of all the love from everyone for the first one,” Mr Byers told WA Today.

“The whole thing was sort of last minute and it was hard picking a song. At least [I Will Survive] symbolises surviving up north and being away from your loved one.”
