A subterranean mining specialist recently received more time to work at an operation.

29Metals recently renewed Byrnecut Australia’s existing contract at the Golden Grove mine, 272km east of Geraldton.

The decision means the underground mining services agreement will be valid for an extra five years, starting from 1 October 2022. This means the contractor will be at the mine site for about a decade since starting work in the year 2017.

The deal also requires identifying and evaluating opportunities to collaborate on sustainability and environmental, social and governance matters. AMR can reveal the extension’s terms are largely the same as those in the current contract, covering development and production at both the Gossan Hill and Scuddles mines.

Job vacancies are advertised here.

“After assessing a number of options, including owner mining, we are delighted to renew the agreement with Byrnecut and extend our relationship at Golden Grove,” 29Metals managing director and CEO Peter Albert said in a public statement.
