AUSTRALIAN MINING PROJECTS OVERSEAS

On Monday 12 March, Resources Monitor Melbourne are launching a four-month program (March-June) to assist suppliers and other mining-service companies win work on Australian mining projects overseas.

Such projects consist of those involving an Australian mining company, engineering consultant and/or contractor.

Examples: the KSK copper project in Indonesia (Asiamet Resources), the Bibiani underground gold project in Ghana (Resolute Mining); extension of the Olaroz lithium mine in Argentina (Orocobre).

The campaign will comprise project reports, a database of key people and a promotional campaign, as follows:
  • fortnightly reports on Australian mining projects world-wide (40-50 reports in total)
  • a database of key people involved in these projects (e.g. project managers, engineering consultants, procurement officers)
  • a promotional campaign to bring subscribers’ products and services to the attention of these key people

For mining-service companies, Australian mining projects overseas represent, in effect, an expansion of the Australian market.
