The ACCC has issued a product safety recall on Rebel Tools Angle Grinders over non-approved switches that allow the grinders to be locked in the on position during use – model numbers REB2100AG & REB180-2100AG.
The defect means the angle grinders continue to work regardless of whether the operator is holding the switch or not. This could be potentially dangerous and may result in severe lacerations to the face and limbs.
The grinders were sold in Victoria and Queensland by Trade Tools Pty Ltd.
Consumers are being advised to cease using the product immediately and return it to the nearest TradeTools store for a refund or replacement. For more information, visit the TradeTools website www.tradetools.com or call 07 5540 6400 during business hours.
