Queenslanders offered $7K in bonuses at Bowen Basin mine

A coal producer is prepared to pay thousands of dollars to jobseekers who urgently want a long-term role in Queensland’s Central Highlands region.

One of Chandler Macleod’s clients in the Blackwater area will pay prospective mining and multi-skilled operators up to $53 an hour, $2000 when signing on and an extra $5000 retention bonus after three months in the job.

Applicants will be required to operate the following equipment:

  • 789/797/793 trucks
  • D10/D11 dozers
  • graders
  • loaders.

This role requires an immediate start and has future potential to move to a permanent position. No proof of coronavirus vaccines is required.

Click here to apply. Shifts will be 12 hours long and on a rotating day or night roster of seven on, seven off. Company paid buses will run between Mackay, Rockhampton, Yeppoon and the mine camp. Full accommodation and meals are provided. Drive-in drive-out options are also available.
