Well-Centric launches new asset rental division with key appointment

Well-Centric, a leading provider of well integrity solutions and technology for the global oil and gas industry, has announced the appointment of Malcolm Adam to head up its new asset rentals business division.

The company will be investing a seven-figure sum into the development and resourcing of the new division, which will supply surface well and wellhead integrity support equipment to onshore and offshore clients around the world.

As sales director, Mr Adam will lead the development and growth of this new business which will complement Well-Centric’s existing offering of proprietary well integrity technology, turnkey engineering solutions and support services. With the recent upturn in oil and gas activity, demand and competitiveness for resources is rising and Well-Centric wishes to ensure that its clients are well equipped going forward.

The rental assets available to customers will include the company’s own range of solution driven, highly differentiated technology alongside high frequency demand wellhead, control and integrity related equipment.

Well-Centric CEO, Gary Smart explained: “We are committed to providing the products and skills that our customers require to ensure long term integrity and productivity of oil and gas wells.  However, with a recovering market, equipment availability is anticipated to become scarce and more expensive, so we are putting plans in place to protect our customers from market forces, quickly deliver the solutions they require and keep costs low.  Our new division will complement and grow our current capabilities and I’m delighted that Malcolm has joined us to help take the business forward.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Adam said: “Well-Centric has uniquely positioned itself in the market as a full service well integrity solutions provider. Not only do they provide the full range of well and wellhead integrity and maintenance support services, but they combine this with the supply of a range of innovative, proprietary technologies and highly skilled, client specific engineered solutions. Adding to this a broad range of rental assets, the company is in an incredibly strong position for future growth and expansion. I am excited to be joining the team at such a pivotal time.”

Mr Adam brings more than 30 years of specialist experience to bear in his role at Well-Centric. He joins the company from Omega Well Interventions where he served as senior business development manager, responsible for multiple key customer accounts and accelerating growth in Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE. Prior to this he held technical and business development positions for Baker Hughes, Zeroth Technology, Weatherford and Halliburton.

Well-Centric, alongside Well-SENSE Technology, ClearWELL Oilfield Solutions and Pragma Well Technology, is part of FrontRow Energy Technology Group. This is a group of complementary upstream oil and gas technology focused businesses that are bringing new solutions to market to meet industry challenges and reduce costs.
