The Australian Domestic Gas Outlook 2018, taking place from Feb 27 – March 2 in Sydney, and will explore the future of the domestic gas and energy market, the unique set of challenges facing each state and basin and both commercial and regulatory opportunities to encourage sustainable growth.

In-depth learning session A: Forecasting gas price trends across Australia in uncertain times – lessons from completing the Gas Price Trends Review 2017

In this session you will learn strategies for better predicting gas price trends, while considering the implications of the external environment and current and future drivers. You will also compare how these vary between east and west coast markets.

The session is designed for all professionals in the gas industry whose organisation will be impacted by movements in gas prices.

  • Consider residential gas price and consumption changes
  • Look at a tightening global LNG supply/demand balance and it’s impacts
  • Assess implications from states regulatory movements and trends
  • Examine the increasing use of gas location swaps, gas time swaps
