Qld coal mine invites inexperienced jobseekers

A mining services company wants enthusiastic, hard-working and collaborative beginners to join a coal operation in Queensland’s South Burnett region.

BUMA Australia (formerly known as Downer EDI) is hiring entry-level production operators at Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Coal Mine in Tarong, 155km southwest of Gympie.

These full-time roles require a valid driver’s licence, physical fitness and strong communication skills. Full training will be provided in “safe and efficient” plant and equipment operations.

“Please note this is a residential position. Therefore, camp or accommodation facilities are not provided,” the employer said on the Seek website.
