Central Qld coal mine offers long term work to locals

A mining services company is offering high wages, bonuses and other entitlements to jobseekers in Queensland’s Central Highlands region.

ABM Contractors is prepared to pay up to $73.50 an hour plus multiple incentives, if locals work for Queensland Coal and Mitsui Group’s Kestrel Coal Mine in Crinum – 312km west of Rockhampton. Applicants who are willing to relocate are also desirable.

The following long-term, full time positions have been advertised:

  • development electricians, $73.50 an hour plus bonuses (multiple positions)
  • development operators, $62 an hour plus bonuses (multiple)
  • development fitters, $73.50 an hour plus bonuses (multiple).
